The chimney at Ballycorus - oft mistakenly called a shot tower - is a remnant of mining activity at Ballycorus. The Chimney and associated roadside flue are unique in Ireland.
We will meet at Brady's Pub in Shankill and follow the Dublin Mountains Way to Ballycorus - return journey via Mine Hill Lane and Ballycorus Road to allow us to see the chimney flue and some of the other buildings. Please note that this walk is primarily a hill walk and appropriate footwear is required.
