Ireland’s Quakers and their records.

Join Christopher Moriarty for a talk on researching Quaker records.
Tuesday 9 July, 1pm - 1.30pm
Free, no booking required, just pop in on the day.
Christopher Moriarty is Curator of the Dublin Quaker Library, one of eight volunteers who take care of its collections. A writer on environmental subjects and Quaker history, he is a retired marine biologist, having discovered that cataloguing and research on people is very much the same as studying marine organisms.

Really enjoyed the potted history of the Quakers and the information about their archive & record collection. Now all I have to do is find some family members of that religion. ;)

Yes it was very interesting. Didn't know anything about the Quakers, but started my research already :-)

I knew very little myself, only that they used to own the IFI building.

I'll be there, but it will be nearer to the 13:00 kick off time as I'm coming from work and have an hour for lunch. I'm really looking forward to this series of talks, though I wasn't in Dublin for the first two last week.
    See you there.

Not sure until late tomorrow morning if I can attend. Will you be meeting outside the Nat Library at 12.45?

I would love to attend as my daughter lives in the Quaker town of Ballitore, Kildare which has a small museum which has some items belonging to Mary Leadbetter, sadly I have visitors and airport pickup. Maybe next time.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
