The King Killers of Pill Lane - Walking Tour

  • Jun 14, 2014 · 12:15 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

Another great event by the Smithfield and Stoneybatter People's History Project.

Fergus Whelan, author of Dissent into Treason,  will lead a walk where we will "follow in the footsteps of the Protestant Dissenters of Church Street, in the rebellion of 1798".

This event costs €10 with all monies raised going to fundraising for their planned summer festival.

Really great tour, we were so lucky to have the opportunity to listen to Fergus, what an enormous amount of research he has put into his book...he should be awarded a PhD for this project...hopefully one day he will receive an honorary award from TCD or one of the other universities. His research has contributed a great deal to this aspect of the cannon of historical research.
