New Year's Day Swim (new members welcome)

Calling all Seals old and new. Whether you're vowing to run a marathon or are swearing off drink forever make room in your day for our New Year's Day swim.

If you've never joined us before or your vocation has waned a little kick start your year with an event that's gonna knock at least 3 New Year's resolutions on the head straight away! (and yes, you can wear a wetsuit if you like. Dress code: survive.) As usual we'll be heading off somewhere warm afterwards for hot beverages and grub.

We'll be meeting at our winter home; Seapoint in Blackrock at 1.30pm (just late enough to give our New Year's eve revelers a lie in!). I'm Nichola -[masked] - get in touch if you are delayed or can't make it on the day. We meet to the left of the tower facing the slip way. I'll have a sign saying Welcome Seals Dublin Sea Swimming.

Please check out our Discussions page for tips on cold open water swimming and safety and remember that whilst we do look out for one another the swim is at your own risk. Feel free to bring along guests to participate or cheer you on! Moral support has kept this group going for the last 5 months!

Looking forward to seeing all our die hard SEALS and newbies too!

Thanks everyone for making it a great New Year's swim today. Just when we thought the weather would get the better of us Seapoint came through for us again. See you all on Sunday!

    Hi Guys and Girls,

Great to have you all with us for tomorrow's swim. It's looking like it might be a bit rainy so if it's pouring we'll meet under the shelters facing the sea, otherwise just to the left of the tower. Anyone new please take my number above so we can find each other! Hope everyone has an enjoyable New Year's Eve whatever you're getting up to. Nichola
