A walking group for people who prefer a slower pace and are looking to increase their fitness levels, but keep putting it off. Meeting up with others and walking together will encourage you to get out there and stop putting it off.
A number of shorter walking meetups will be scheduled per month with an aim at at least one per week. These will be no longer than 6km to begin with and will be at a pace that is more comfortable for the beginners. As we progress the walks will be more challenging. Each member must ensure that they have their Doctors permission to take part if they have health issues and health issues must be declared to the walk organiser when you join or at your first meetup. The organiser takes no responsibility for any injuries or health problems sustained on the walks and by joining you accept full responsibility for your own health and wellbeing on the walks.
For all walks it is advisable to wear suitable clothing, such as jogging bottoms or waterproof trousers, layered tops and good trainers or walking shoes/boots and to bring a bottle of water with you.
A portion of the meetup fee will be Donated to the SENS Research Oganisation. SENS Researches regenerative medicine. You can find out more about regenerative medicines here;
