Happy to report that we will be having a second practice this coming Saturday the 14th of April.
Same facts as the first time around:
Place: Near Surfdock in the Grand Canal Area.
Cloths: Things you don't mind getting wet. Jeans are a big, bad idea. Sneakers are OK, but they remain wet. Preferably no cotton. Cycling type materials work best. Any other question, just comment and ask.
Equipment: Will be provided.
Cost: 5 euro donation to the Plurabells.
There are limited restroom facilities, so plan accordingly.
We will need a minimum number in order have the practice, so please update your RSVP as soon as possible. Also, if you need to change your status, please do so ASAP. Also, we only have enough room for 20 (if we get that many) so please RSVP early. However, we are looking into the possibility of using a second boat. So, if you are still interested after the number reaches 20, please add yourself to the waiting list, and assuming we get enough for two boats, I can modify the limit to allow you.
Check your emails and the meetup page on Friday evening/Saturday morning in case any last minute changes/emergencies came up.
As you all discovered last time, things happen that sometimes affect our ability to practice, so please check as late as possible before the meetup time. Also, if you all would like to recieve a text/call if the meetup is cancelled, please email/message me separately and I will do my best to let you know personally if practice is cancelled.
Much like last Saturday, we will do a bit of mock racing, drilling, and generally working up a sweat and having a good craic while we are at it! Especially me, because I get to sit there an yell all practice. ;-)
Also, it is likely that many of us will go to a local cafe/bar afterwards for some food, beer, coffee or hot chocolate, so give yourself some time after the practice.
Hope to see you all there!
