I was at the event. Any event is as good as you make it yourself. Venue was great, I have met nice people. If you expect Mayfair bar to be cheap, shouldn't go there at all.

    3) The overall feedback we received is very mixed. I personally drew the conclusion that the dissatisfaction comes mainly from the fact that the type of crowd attending the event were not homogenous. The drinks at the bar were not cheap, but in line with similar events at similar times of the year in Mayfair London.

In reply to the comments below, kindly note the following.
    1) The event run last night was run in conjunction with other organisers who booked the venue and provided the DJ. So far their track record has been exemplary. Not only they run private parties at The Box, but also a similar event to the one last night in Dec 2012 which was a success. I can think of only 3 organisations we have worked together with on a regular basis and they are one of those.
    2) Standard Clubbing night cost £20 in London. On special day of the year, they cost more. As you can see from the events on this Meetup, for NYE we only promote the party at Meursault, which costs £18, because all things being equal, we do not want to overcharge. However, we had made a lot of research and to the best of our knowledge the event last night was the only one we felt confident promoting. Those who did not enjoy it have all their rights in thinking that it was not worth the £25 paid.

I would like to know what the £25 ticket was for? as the bar was pretty much empty and not good at all.

I agree. We felt completely ripped off last night and it was not fair to get that for £25. We were all REALLY annoyed.

3 of us attended and did not enjoy it. Very disorganised, 85% men and mixed with other events that weren't like minded. And the staff at the bar were not particularly welcoming.

    Hi Ladies,
I am planning to meet some of the girls at Henry's bar at 9pm beforehand, as much nicer to get to know each other before going in, My number is, I am making my way there now.

anyone going along on their own?

I see that few members of this group have now booked their tickets. We should also be able to have a complimentary table (there will be no drinks, but no minimum spend either). I will update everybody during the weekend. Just bear in mind that the current price of £25 is a discounted price for our group and the offer may terminate at any point in time

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
