PLEASE NOTE THE TIME CHANGE.

Pick your distance and your pace and if we can pair people into similar distance/speed groups we will. It's an out and back run. Just turn around at your halfway point.

In Alpharetta, First Watch plans a roughly 3,500-square-foot freestanding restaurant at Old Milton and North Point Parkways (early 2014). In Dunwoody, it will take 3,500 square feet at Dunwoody Village (open).

During my pre-run regimen of situps & pushups, I decided this was a fine morning to find out if these old legs could handle the half-marathon distance. Maybe not the best idea, but one never knows what thoughts leap forth during knuckle pushups. Anyhow, the plan was 13.1 miles @ 7:00 pace. Dorene got us started and away we went. The first mile clocked in at 6:21. I felt like Snoopy ("Curses, foiled again!"). Oh well, nothing to do but soldieron. The good thing about a distance run is you have time to think. In this case, an idea for a short story came to me. I fleshed it out as the scenery rolled by mile after mile. My time for the training run was 1:24:12. Splits were 42:50 & 41:22. Next was a terrific brunch with a great group of people. I feel rather fortunate they are willing to be seen in public with a non-coffee drinker. Also, as best I could tell, there were no nasty complaints about our group as we enjoyed good food and even better conversation.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
