Goethe Institut: Settlers of Catan Oil Springs

Norma of the Goethe Institut has invited us again to join them for the Oil Springs version of Settlers of Catan

You can sign up here and I will email Goethe Institue with a head count. Or you can RSVP to Goethe Institut directly. See link below.

This is a fun event. The German Cultural Institute is located one block from the Chinatown Metro Stop - so it is central to everything in DC.

She writes:

Good morning, and happy Monday! I wanted to let you know that we’re hosting an evening of the “Oil Springs” variation of Settlers this Friday. We’d love to welcome your group again!

Is there going to be dinner at this? Should we bring food separately?

They usually have drinks and snacks, but not a dinner per se.

You are allowed to bring in food. Most eat beforehand.

Is this something I should avoid if I have never played Settlers before?

Even if you dislike settlers, you can still come check out a copy of Goethe's Faust or Schiller's Don Carlos.

I have the Oil Springs variation. I'm happy to bring it and my copy of Setters along with me.
