DCGG Meetup: 2-player Games!

  • This location is shown only to members

  • You should come because it's an easy, convenient way to meet new people and have fun too!
  • Ok folks, this one is gonna be special. We're going to have dozens of stations lined up at tables, with players facing their opponents in two-player games of strategy and chance -- so you might be playing Battleship, but the person next to you might be playing Stratego or Backgammon! As soon as your game ends, you get to pick another station and try another game. Mancala, Othello, card games, chess and checkers...all are welcome.

So bring your favorite two-player game and try a bunch of different options -- and different opponents -- all in one afternoon. It'll be like a smorgasbord of games! Just be sure to save me a seat at Stratego. ;)

Every Sunday, we'll meet at a location just two blocks of Dupont Circle to play a game. Games will be determined and put on the calendar a few weeks in advance, so you can pick and choose the ones you like or come back every week for a different game.

Suggested donation of $5 to help cover the cost of the venue, games, supplies and snacks.

Right on Emily, I don't know why Amina was so insulting to us.

I resent that. We all have class. It's a very classy group. ;)

Parking options are terrible. But meters are free on the weekends...if you can find one open, which is extremely difficult.

Hey Emily, what are the parking options around Webster House like? I'm considering coming to this one with my copy of Space Hulk (provided I can assemble the damn thing and read the rules in time), but I'd just as soon drive in for this one, as it's a physically monstrous game, and would be a complete pain to drag around the metro.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
