Sweat and Strategy

Are you active?  Are you a gamer?  Are you an active gamer?  If you answered 'yes' to two or more of these questions, then I have the meet-up for you!

This month I'll be debuting A new recurring meet-up:  Sweat and Strategy.  Wherein we will take advantage of some of the many bar-sponsored run clubs in the Triangle area and then play a strategy game. Our games will be of medium length (meaning that they should take an hour or less to play) and we will probably visiting various run clubs in the area to find the best fit.

For our inaugural trip we'll be starting out at the granddaddy of the Triangle run-club scene, the Nog Run Club.  The Nog Run Club is nearly 5 years old, and features 3, 4, 5 and 6 mile routes through downtown Raleigh.  I'll be doing the standard 3 mile route.  The run starts at 6:00, please try to be on time (and if it's your first time please show up early to sign the registration and release form).  There is also a famous $1.00 cash-only pasta and salad bar and usually a beer special or two for after the run. Parking is plentiful thanks to street side parking and two parking decks.

The game that we will be playing afterwards is Leaping Lemmings!  A game of survival of the fittest, genetic manipulation, suicide, and style.  It's a great little game that's a lot of fun.  We should start the game around 6:45 or so.

Sweat and Strategy is limited to the number of slots available for the game, so if you only want to come for the run and not the game, please say so in the comments and I'll open up another space for someone who would like to play.

I'll see everyone there.

Learned a new game and got some miles in so it's all good. Would recommend perhaps a selection (2-3) of games to pick from (with 1 table designated as a particular game being played for people to learn).

I'm going to try to get a booth on the far side, or a table in back, since trivia will also be going on (and is usually pretty loud). Lemmings is a pretty simple game, but there are some odd rules that require explanation.

I do the Nog run club on Monday anyway, so count me in for that part, and will probably spectate for the game.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
