Volunteer @ Kramden's Mini-Geek-A-Thon

Kramden is a non for profit organization that fixes refurbished pc's and donates them to needy kids who have been recommended by their teachers for academic excellence.

They will be having one of their Mini-Geek-A-Thons and need volunteers to help get the pc's ready for the students.

*****************You do NOT need any pc skills for this event. As long as you can turn on a pc you are qualified. You will not be working with any kids. They will be in a different part of the building. If you do want to work with them, great I'm sure the staff can find you something to do upfront where they will be receiving their computers.

*******************

They will also be having a Computer Award Day up front where students and their families will come to Kramden to receive their newly refurbished computers. These students were all nominated by their teachers, principals, and/or school counselors and are considered very hardworking students.

That was really fun. Always nice to volunteer...even if it was just cleaning keyboards and mice.

Hmm... that link says it's no longer accepting responses. Does that mean it's too late to sign up for this?

Does this involve interacting with the children at all? I'm real good with computers and real bad with children.

Henry

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
