Hey everyone,
I just wanted to put an idea out there for anyone who is interested...

The Ice House in Cary has open ice skating on some Friday nights (10pm-12am) and every Saturday night (not sure what time it starts and ends) and thought it would be fun to get a group together to go sometime soon before they start to get too busy. It is about $15 to get in and rent a pair of skates and half that if you have your own ice skates. I am not very good at ice skating and have the bruises to prove it but it is still fun. Maybe we could make this an event if enough people are interested.

Also if we have a lot of people then we can rent the ice for a private party for $200 an hour (would need at least 20 people to make this worth it).

Let me know what everyone thinks :)

That's an awesome idea - I'm horrendous at ice skating, but I'll come out and join the group. Fair warning, I'll drag you down right along with me if you're in arm's reach. I've done it to the referee on the rink, I have no shame.

Jon,
No, The Ice House doesn't allow any equipment on the ice for open skate times because somebody could get really hurt (a lot of inexperienced people come out for open skate times). There are other times that they allow that but you have to check the schedule.

John,
I will make sure to stay away from you on the ice. I am still recovering from falling on Sunday and the bruise is not pretty; it is still sore when I bend my knee. I am obviously not very good either but I try not to take others down with me (for you I might make an exception).
