Fem, Butch or Blend... Express Yourself! Performance Art at Fullsteam Brewery

This is a night of spoken word and performance art in conjunction with The LGBT Center of Raleigh. This meetup is for spectators, but you can also perform if you wish. The event is focused on LGBT women but is open to all LGBT folks (not just women) and allies to attend and participate.

All the performers will have about 5 minutes to express themselves.  So far there is quite a variety.  Here are some examples of what is lined up so far:

- reading excepts from their own published books

- doing a performing (movement) arts act

- doing a comedy act

- playing an acoustic instrument/singing

They are open to all performers of any kind at this point... poetry ...speaking about an issue... however you want to express yourself ....just no bands. Any musicians must be acoustic only because of lack of space and time to set up.

Contact Denise if you are interested in performing: [masked] - or sign up here: http://femmebutchblend.eventbrite.com

Organizers will also be encouraging any folks in the crowd that night to hop up on stage to perform.

Suggested donation $15 at the door (or you can pay at the above link).

This is a fundraiser for HRC/LGBT Center of Raleigh.

There are more than 70 people signed up for the event tonight at Fullsteam between the 4 groups I've posted it with -- we were unable to reserve seats specifically for the meetup and I won't be able to save very many, so don't count on coalescing with the meetup group as such tonight -- just come and find some seats and have a good time!

I have quite a crowd of folks signed up from the 4 meetups I've posted this with -- a total of about 40! If anyone can show up a little early and help me claim some tables, it would be much appreciated!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
