I am a veteran of the United States Army and identify as a transgender woman. I am currently living and working in Ohio and am looking to move to the Raleigh/Durham area after the first of next year. I have living arrangements already but when I move there I will be in need of work until I can apply to a school. That being said, if anyone can point me in the direction of trans friendly employers and colleges I would really appreciate it. As far my expertise, I am knowledgeable in the areas of machining, security, inventory management, firearm repair and maintenance, and computer technology as far as PC hardware and software goes. Please understand I have no certifications, only on the job training, 6 years in the military as an infantrymen has not left a lot of time for educational development. Any help will be greatly appreciated, thank you to those who read and respond.
