Not sure if I should have focused on the truck or person and is it ok to have persons back to you.
I am studying the photo to determine the "caption".
I feel there is conflict being portrayed, but I am uncertain what it is.
Much of the photo is in focus. Since the shot captures the closest walker from the back, his focus is secondary.
In the Original size the rain becomes more visible.
The big bad truck appears to be opposing the people causing some of the conflict.
I might have taken the focus deeper into the photo following the line of walkers down the path.
What is this, whats happening, why are folks on the road with this big truck - what did you want in focus here? The guy in front seems clear, the front of the truck is more or less clear. Do you know the person who has their back to you? It's all in what your after from the picture right. If you zoomed into the group of people ahead focused and pulled back, they would of been clear. How many points is your camera focusing on at the same time?
Erika....sorry I just don't get it......looks like a snap shot taken while out for a Sunday walk on a logging road.....
if this was a backpack add then it works...LOL
OK that was funny. Thanks
Roy , yes for the comment on focusing better on the group at the back. Jeff thanks for the tip on how to do it.
William yes it was as a stroll across the Zimbabwe-Zambia border.
Roy had some good comments. Is this not suppose to be constructive? I'm surprised at some of the comments that seem to make fun. Given this outcome, I doubt a beginner like myself, will get much direction here. Therefore I'm not going to post the one I had in mind. I would have expected considerate suggestions. Nice Shot Erika. I can see how playing with what you focus on could change the feeling of this image. Like the concept, but if you have good advice, there is a good way and a bad way to deliver.
Hi Erika! I'm also curious to know what was going on in this photo - is there a story behind it? :) I like the overall tone of the photo, and I have one suggestion to try with a photo like this next time, and that's changing the angle up (possibly to include more of the man closest to you). If I had shot this, I might have tried getting lower to the ground (crouching) to change up the angle, and get more (if not all) of the man in the frame... maybe allowed him to go a few more steps forward before shooting. :)
Hello Lauren, We were wet and tired. The truck was moving towards us. I was trying to capture the feel of danger. I keep wondering what I could have done to improve the picture. Your suggestion is great. I could have quickly moved back and got down, hopefully without falling in the mud. I see how this would work for next time. Cheers.

Do you want to move this photo to “__ALBUM_NAME__”?
Yes, I'm Sure
Lets start a group of photographers that would like to improve their skills. We will set up a series of themed photo shoots, photographers will come together and create.
Models Make up Artists and Hair Stylists that need photos for their portfolios, websites or advertising will voluteer their services.
We will have different sponsors to assist us with our themes and they too will benefit by having the photos for their advertising or websites.
this not only will be a win win for all included but it will help us to network in a field that is usually very individual.
If you are interested in photography, know photoshop and lightroom, or are a model, make-up artist or hair stylist that would like to be part of a great group this is for you!
