The "Best of Enemies" tells the true story of the interaction between Ann Atwater, a civil rights activist and CP. Ellis, Cyclops of the KKK as they co-chaired a committee examining the racial issues that plagued Durham and its schools in the early 1970’s. The play exposes the poison of prejudice through the two residents as they confront their hatred and discover the real enemy that they share.
