May Book Discussion: The Husband's Secret

In May, it's The Husband's Secret by Liane Moriarty up for discussion.....

Imagine that your husband wrote you a letter, to be opened after his death. Imagine, too, that the letter contains his deepest, darkest secret—something with the potential to destroy not just the life you built together, but the lives of others as well. Imagine, then, that you stumble across that letter while your husband is still very much alive. . . .

Acclaimed author Liane Moriarty has written a gripping, thought-provoking novel about how well it is really possible to know our spouses—and, ultimately, ourselves.

so, do you decide at previous month's book discussion? May decide June, etc?

We usually decide on books by taking a vote or drawing book names out of a hat. We have not picked our summer books yet, other than Beautiful Ruins for June.

I timed the watching of "Labor Day" to coincide with this meetup, which provoked questions about whether someone can make up for a horrific incident, especially if their motivation seems selfish. I didn't sympathize with the book character as much as the film's.

Hi all. I just read an interesting analysis of Husband's Secret. warning: do not read until you are done reading the novel. It will spoil the mysteries!

I have been subscribed to Bookbub for about 2 months. I can't begin to keep up w/ the free or under $2 deals. It's great for trying new authors or interesting sounding plots. If any of you want a daily e-mail from Bookbub, just send me you address & I'll send you an invite!

Looking forward to seeing you all at Saladelias. If you were intrigued by Gone Girl, I think you will be caught up in the husbands secret. What would you have done?

Does anyone have a copy I could borrow? I am way down the list at the library.
    Thanks, Dale
