$5 Movie Night: The Impossible

This could be the last $5 movie night with Soutpoint's Rave Theaters changing to AMC on the 17th.  Well.... let's not even think about that. It's a new year and we're going for The Impossible (pun intended)....a good thing staying the same for once.

this movie was about hope thru despair, and & life on an edge all lost or some lost. The ending was best for the movie. I do wonder what will happen to thePark Place theater? the Stone should be lovely!!

I just talked with someone at the Southpoint Cinemas box office and she seemed confident of the following:

-Gift cards and loyalty cards from Rave will be honored (they still honor Stone theater cards she said) even after the theater turns to AMC on Thursday. I would however, use my freebies ASAP.

-And now the sad news...no more $5 Tuesdays. Rave was doing that as a promotion to get their name out there and it is not connected to AMC. Protest details to follow ;^(

    - The new Stone theater in Morrisville, Park West 14 supposedly has $5 Tuesdays. We will try a movie there sometime and see how it works with traffic, distance, crowds and such. For their Grand Opening, there is free popcorn all weekend from Jan. 25-27. If anyone wants to host a Meetup that weekend, just let me know.

Sorry for the bad but not unexpected news!

While I liked the movie, the subject matter was not to be taken lightly. I was tense most of the time watching it. I guess now that we've all cried together and feel we've survived "The Impossible" (tough to watch in places), I feel even closer to my movie buds! Thanks for surviving it with me.

I like the idea Elaine brought up of going somewhere afterwards. Hopefully they will keep up the $5 nights.

We couldn't find anyone who knew for sure whether they would continue or not so they may still continue them. We'll hope for the best. We have talked about staging a protest if not. LOL!!!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
