git and GitLab workshop

After this workshop you will know how to more effectively use git and GitLab to collaborate on code. Bring your own laptop and participate in the assignments. The workshop will go from an introduction to the most complex commands so it is interesting for both beginners and experienced users.

It will cover the following subjects and commands:

git introduction
GitLab introduction
lean/agile development
converting old projects
feature branches
merge requests
giving feedback
branching strategy
production branch

We'll be there to help you complete the assignments. Please be aware that there is a GitLab talks & drinks (with freepizza!) you can join after this workshop.

Hey! Thanks for the meetup. For me, the workshop was too basic.

I would like to see a workshop on how to leverage Gitlab for your organisation workflow. E.g. merging strategies, protected branches, etc.

I would live to discuss an article I'm working on (Issue flow) with you. It should address these kind of questions. I shared the doc, can we hangout about it?

Meeting and subject were good, the level was just a bit over my head.

Thanks for the feedback. Next time we'll cover a bit more of the git basics in the beginning.
