Dynamic Spirituality: The Art of “Being” through “Doing”
Often we are shown spiritual development sought through a passive and relaxing nature: To empty your mind through deep and long meditation. Someone sitting with a look of peace on their face.
When you sit quietly meditating, is the look on your face one of anguish?
The path to spiritual development is different for all people. For some people, their meditation is to dance and release deep emotions. For others, it is to create a powerful business and create amazing projects in the world. For others, perhaps it is the art of fighting and healing.
We live in ordinary and extraordinary circumstances in this time. We are in a culture where we are moving, doing, creating and exchanging energies. It is often very difficult to integrate the spirituality of another culture or way of life into our way of living: we often feel that life and spiritual practice are too divergent, too opposite. We see ourselves as dynamic and creative, improvisational and impromptu, powerful and dynamic.
I live this way. I have been an entrepreneur. I love adventure. My spiritual practice is dancing, running, teaching, devotion and healing. My work is in the world and I love to give and receive energy. I plan to get a lot done in my life.
I can teach you dynamic practices for more personal power, more activity to accomplish your highest potential and yet, more stability, grace and harmony while being active. The practices take into consideration who you are - not how you will fit into the practice. We will do specific practices for releasing negative energy, building immunity, strengthening our energetic bodies, understanding conscious action versus unconscious, and learning to balance our lives while accomplishing anything. Some of the practices of physical but more, they are active energetically.
In the course of this work, we will explore lineages of knowledge that pertain to spiritual practices. Some of them include white tantra, shamanism, yoga, earth medicines, Goddess work, etc.
I look forward to meeting you at the classes!
namaste,
