Publishing a book has never been easier - but that doesn't mean there aren't a lot of steps involved in getting it right, especially if you want to create a book that sells. And regardless of your method of publishing, the job of marketing your book sits squarely on YOUR shoulders. Throughout the year, we'll discuss many avenues for marketing your books. We typically meet the 2nd Saturday at 1 p.m. and the 4th Tuesday at 6:30 p.m., but sometimes this changes, so check the actual Meetup announcements. The format is a seminar with handouts - and guest speakers, as appropriate. Once every other month we hold a networking only meeting where we just get together to schmooze, exchange tips and ideas, and get to know each other better.
However, we do more than just get together for meetings. Some of our members contribute to our group blog, we partner to create great events like the 12 Days of Christmas Book Giveaway and the Holiday Author Event, and we even had a booth at the 2015 Tucson Festival of Books. As the organizer of this Meetup, I am always looking for great opportunities for authors, so if you have any ideas, please feel free to share them with me!
