The purpose of this group is to connect with others in the areas of emergency preparedness (non-extreme prepping) for both natural and man-made disasters. We gather for meet ups to share ideas, knowledge and skills. We network, and make friends to broaden our opportunities to learn and teach.
As for myself I am a family-man, devoted to my wife and daughter. I am a certified welder, EMT-B, American Red Cross CPR and first aid instructor, City of Hayward C.E.R.T., ethical outdoorsman, amateur bush crafter, frustrated American historian, and have been prepping for years. I figure the best opportunities for me to learn and grow is as part of a group working toward the same goal.
If you want to meet others who understand and prepare and those who wish to understand and begin preparing in the S.F. East Bay Area, then this is the group for you. We gather from Livermore, Fremont, Oakland and Dublin; with Castro Valley being the center point. Remember the best time to prepare for a disaster is before the lights go out.
