There are many reasons to join this group, however I will share my personal experience as to why I started this group and you can decide in the end if this group is right for you.
For me I needed to change my eating habits to ensure good overall health because I didn't have medical insurance. What would I do if I got sick???!!!. So instead of living my life under the subconscious perspective of "eat whatever" because subconsciously I knew if I got sick for some reason I could go to the doctors and instead of stressing over how I was going to obtain medical insurance and pay medical premiums, I decided to go to school in NYC to the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and learn how to maintain my overall health so I could stay healthy and not have to go to the doctors unless it was a true emergency.
Over the past 3.5 years I have changed my life style to incorporate good eating habits, healthy food choices and how to cook yummy tasting food on a budget. I have learned how to shop at a combination of stores including Kroger's, Trader Joe's, Food Lion and Market Place to name a few. My point is, if you learn how to shop, you can get most everything you need in one or two places. Your budget will determine how many places you may need to shop. I have come to a place where shopping for food isn't cumbersome, I actually look forward to going food shopping.
What I have gained from all this hard work is, increased energy, weight stability, minimal food cravings and I haven't gotten sick. Don't get me wrong, we need our doc's, we just need to change our conditioned believe patterns as to why we need them. If you would like to maintain you're natural weight with no specific diet to follow, feel an increase in energy and vitality, learn how to shop, eat and cook good tasting foods, then you will enjoy this group.
