Unleash Rails' full power with Rack middleware

Headliner: Alan Andrade / Ruby On Rails and Javascript Developer

6:30 - 7:00: Open mic: get help; strut your stuff

7:00 - 8:15: Featured presentation

8:15 - 8:30: Jobs Offered / wanted / door prizes

Presentation Abstract:
Every Rails app has something called "The middleware". The middleware is in charge of parsing your parameters, it takes care of CSFR tokens, set/get cookies, sessions and so forth.

The middleware is a powerful design for web applications, that many developers are afraid to touch. Mainly because you could write a descent application without even knowing about it. However, If you understand the architecture and possibilities, this will take your skills one step beyond. You'll end up with implementations as transparent as the flash method in controllers and views.

I'm a full stack developer passionate for learning and pair programming. I've been doing this for 5 years and I see much more coming. I love music, skateboarding and the joy of creation.
