Dual-application access to a MySQL database...

From: Jon S.

Folks… Two questions:

  1. I assume that I can write two separate Rails applications that go against the same database… right? The concurrency is handled by MySQL I believe.
  2. Is there a Rails way to handle to shared “Business Rules” and/or shared “Data Rules” (such as might be done in database triggers) so that I don’t have to duplicate the code in each application and have the problem of duplicate maintenance?
