The East Bay Ruby Meetup Group Message Board › Pair programming in the East Bay for fun and profit
|A former member||
I have just begun taking independent consulting jobs as a Ruby on Rails developer, leaving my company career gladly behind me.
What do I miss about my regular job? Pair programming! So I thought I'd ask around to see if someone else might enjoy working together on site (my place, your place, a coffee shop) on a regular schedule for projects I've been drumming up. I have one large project I am working on currently, and would like to suggest to our customer that pair programming would be a great way to go as we proceed.
Pay structure is open to discussion, but would be commensurate with experience -- meaning that I'd be very open to pairing with a talented entry-level Rubyist, or partnering with someone that puts my skills into serious perspective. : ) More than surface-level knowledge of some part of the web stack would be good.
I would generally prefer to keep an early schedule, i.e. start at 8:30 or 9 a.m. and finish early, since my evenings are fairly busy.
Drop me a note if this sounds interesting!
