What is the Akashic Record, and how is it relevant to your spiritual development?

Here are some resources available on the web:

Cayce had much to say about this highly spiritual concept... but what about you? Do you have a personal experience to share? Bring your insight, opinions, and experiences for discussion!

I forgot to mention this today. There is a brilliant four part series on int inner world/outer world. A must see on You Tube. Part I is about the Akasha. Link is http://www.innerworldsmovie.com/. Highly recommend seeing all four parts. Each is about 30 minutes. Inner Worlds was created by Canadian film maker, musician and meditation teacher Daniel Schmidt. The film could be described as the external reflection of his own adventures in meditation. As Daniel came to meditative insights, he realized that these same insights were discovered over and over in spiritual traditions around the world and that all traditions share a common mystical underpinning. He realized that it is this core experience that connects us not only to the mysterious source of all creation, but to each other as well. Along with his wife Eva, Daniel currently lives in a log home tucked away in a forest of tall pine trees located in Ontario, Canada.
    Blessings, Bill

Hi Sean, Thanks for being my keeper of the book. I'll pay the ransom.

A piece of dark chocolate. Place it on my table and walk away. And no cops.

Is there a waiting list for Sunday's event?

    February 7, 2013

    • Sean

I'll add a waiting list today, Debra. If this discussion remains full, would you be interested in attending via video chat?

    What time will this end?

    February 4, 2013

    • Sean

It'll probably last an hour, but if we're having a good conversation we can extend it :)

Sorry, I have something that I have to get done on a deadline, so I am choosing to not attend this event. However, I look forward to meeting everyone at a future Edgar Cayce meetup event. Have fun!

Hello everyone! This will be my first meet up with the group, do we bring any snacks or food to share?

    February 1, 2013

    • Sean

I set the time so that people can eat lunch before arriving, but snacks would be great :) Later, the group may decide to make these discussions into a potluck lunch. We'll see how it goes.

Luckily I took tap dancing lessons when I was a kid.

    1 · January 29, 2013

  • Sean

Audrey, people who show up late have to perform a short tap dance routine in front of the group. If you don't have tap shoes, a pair will be provided.

If anyone is riding the metro, leave a comment so we can pick you up. The house is only half a mile from the stop, but it might be cold.

Having been to various meetups at restaurants and cafes, and having hosted many meetups, I think we'll have a much better discussion at my house. We won't have to contend with noise and busy people while we're talking about spiritual things.

One caveat, though... my wife and I are still moving in to this house, and the living room isn't quite ready. However, we currently have seating for 11 people. I'm going to cap attendance at 14 people for this first discussion (maybe higher next time). If you have a chair that is convenient to bring, please leave a comment so we can plan :)

We'll have plenty of water, coffee, and tea (green, black, herbal, etc), and some kind of snack. If you would like to share food, please let everyone know in advance what you will bring.

Also, if you have a Cayce book that is relevant to the topic, don't forget to bring it along.

Sunday's best for me. I actually offer Akashic Record readings/healings.

    January 25, 2013

  • Sean

The date and location were purposely left unknown. Sometimes, the right venue for a discussion depends on how many folks want to attend :) For the most part, I will try to keep the location metro-accessible. For this first discussion, I think locations around Arlington or Silver Spring look promising. Let me know!

This discussion series will kickoff in February. The default day will be a Sunday (Saturday, if needed), during midday. I'll post the date shortly.

I look forward to a great conversation :)
