What do you wish your Engineering Leaders would learn from other Engineering Leaders? What are some of your best stories about EL done well, or done badly?

I wish we could all learn what we don't know, what we know that ain't so, and how to learn these things from others. One of my best experiences of EL done well is Jim Barksdale at Netscape; that man can lead, and get the best out those around him.

Are you seeking a mentor? Are you willing to be a mentor? What areas would you like to discuss?

Sure, always. Yes, absolutely. I'm currently most interested in organizational/process change via agile coaching and Scrum.

What topics / speakers would you recommend for this group?

Jim Barksdale, Luke Hohmann, Doug Donzelli, Jamie Dinkelacker, Marc Pawliger, Don Melton; talking about anything they wanted.

Software developer, engineering manager, scrum master, agile coach w/ long experience in many domains, on & across several major platforms, at 10 companies, from 25 person startups to 100K person media giants. I focus on collaborating for optimal UX.
