Catriona will present a short summary of the novel and some discussion topics. Everyone attending should read the book and/or see one of the film adaptations. We look forward to hearing your views and comments!

The discussion will explore the themes that arise from our interpretations of the novel. We also freely reference all other Austen novels and anything else that is relevant.

Welcome everyone to the meetup next Tuesday! Please note the new location (very close to the previous location, so the tram stop Hagakyrkan is still the nearest).

Here is a 1½ minute clip from the BBC's radio version of S&S. This is where Marianne meets Willoughby.

Marianne complains "how tame was Edward's manner in reading to us last night!" how could he not "be animated by Cowper!"
Well, here is a very short poem by William Cowper

Just an extra link to the 'map of the book' (I got a bit lost tracking it down):

Gives a good feel for the distances involved.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
