I'll meet you all at the entrance to the Sawpit Fire Road, just beyond the Entrance Gate, where we pay for parking. I'm planning to start hiking at 8 a.m. sharp! My cell number is (714)[masked], should you have questions, get lost, or are running late. I've added a map to the bottom of the event description, directly above.

Sorry, something came up, I hope to meet up with you all another time!

The parking lots fill up fast, I would say get there a little early to park ( in the $5 lots or else to park on the street and walk up into the park).

Thank you, Carolyn. The last two times I posted this event, I had no problems finding a parking spot, even though I posted it for the same start time. However, I'm not one to leave anything I can control to chance, so I'm hoping to get there a bit early.

Thanks for getting me off the wait list! Do we need any type of permits or anything specific required or planned?

    • Joe

Unless prices have gone up, there's a parking fee that's about $5. I don't remember there being any other requirements.

Hello! Is this hike dog friendly?

    March 19, 2014

    • Joe

Park rules say dogs must be on leash.

Scanning the lists on both groups, there are at least a handful who know the trail and can help with leading this hike. I feel confident that everyone will enjoy this hike at a comfortable pace.

I will be leading this hike and plan to move at least 2.5 mph. I'm hoping someone will help lead to stay with those who can enjoy a slower pace. Sorry, I have to be somewhere by 3 p.m. with dancing shoes on.

Hey Joe, have not been on this trail and thinking of getting on the wait list. Take care.

      Okay, it sounds good, Ed.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
