Global Village Photo Shoot

We will meet at Gate # 4 (as I remember from the last year this was the most convenient gate, away from the valet and vip parking... please correct me if I am wrong)

Don't wait at the gate... book your ticket and enter through gate # 4 and look for us in some shaded area close to the gate... I will be there before 4:15 and we will start moving at 4:30 sharp

We will split into 4 or 5 groups and we will meet again @6:00 pm in the central food court opposite to the world culture stage.

This is a link to the global village map... please have a look on it

Any place in Dubai would have restrictions to cameras if we draws attention especially if we are a large group with professional staff but still the global village is a tourist attraction and it's comon to see people carrying slr's these days... we just have to walk around in small groups and to be sure that no body complains from us by avoiding shooting people especially women

Hi Amar. but dont carry Tipod. one of my friend has got bad experiance from the authorities.

      December 13, 2012

    • Amr

There is no such a crime in UAE called carrying a tripod! But if you are taking photos around some sensitive locations or shooting some private property the possibilities to attract attention will be more with a tripod

  • Jeet R.

I've sent them an email inquiring about the use of tripods. Will share the reply as soon as I get it.

Got fed up of waiting, so I called them up. There are no restrictions on getting a camera and/or a tripod at Global Village.

Not sure about this year, but I have visited Global Village 4 times last year, almost every time carrying DSLR and tripod. Did not face any issues at all. However, as mentioned below, if it is a group matters might be different.
