ERT member Leonard Rothman, MD has invited Barbara Held-deVries to speak to ERT on February 1. She is the owner of Life Management Associates, a private fiduciary business, which she has been operating for the past eighteen years. Ms. deVries teaches the Conservatorship course for the San Francisco Probate Court to non-professional conservators. She has an MPA from Harvard University, a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Michigan. She has a California license in Clinical Social Work (L4424) and is Licensed Professional Fiduciary (L130) in the State of California. Prior to founding Life Management Associates, Ms. deVries was Director of Geriatric Mental Health Services for Alameda County.

She is currently an active member of the Professional Fiduciary Association of California (PFAC), of which she is past president, the National Guardianship Association (NGA), and National Association of Social Workers (NASW).
