We are a FREE ESL club that actively offers many different Meet Up events, such as:
- Large and small coffee shop gatherings
- Fun English games and discussions
- Pub nights and nightlife
- Tours and outdoor adventures
- Cultural events
- And more!!!
Canadians and other native speakers of English are welcome and encouraged to join. Our club is for anyone who wants to learn or wants to help people learn English and Canadian culture.
Our group is a casual and fun way to build confidence in spoken English and your surroundings with native and non-native English speakers. It's good for socializing, making new friends, cultural exchange, exploring the city and practicing your English skills. You'll also get tips on the area, ESL learning, employment information, housing accommodation and much more so that you get the best experience suited to you while you're here.
We have plenty of different events for students of all types. Conversational English holds regular meetings and activities at coffee shops downtown; anybody is welcome to these family-friendly events. We also go on nights out to restaurants, bars, pubs and clubs, so you can explore what the Vancouver nightlife scene has to offer. Don't forget the hikes and tours and other special events we have planned for you!
Please note that this is a safe and respectful environment, not a dating group. You are welcome to get to know each other and meet privately outside of our events; however, we cannot tolerate behavior which makes our members feel uncomfortable.
