Brio Tuscan Grille/World Cup Viewing after it!!! THERE, or Paladar nearby! :)

Hi guys!

Wow, I saw this place on my way to Whole Foods the other day! Their room for groups looked so nice!!!

We'll have a great atmosphere for dining and enjoying ourselves, and a room all to ourselves!

The food is yummy Italian food. :)

Let's go!! :)

We'll meet at 3 PM on June 22nd, at Brio Tuscan Grille in Rockville, MD. It's walking distance from the White Flint Metro. :)

LET'S WATCH THE WORLD CUP game: USA Versus Portugal, AFTER WE EAT!!! They have comfortable couches to sit by the bar area at this restaurant!!! So we can move there after we eat! The game starts at 6 PM!!! We can do that THERE, at the restaurant, AT THEIR BAR!!! If you'd RATHER go to Paladar Latin Kitchen and Rum bar for the game afterward, we can do that, too. :)

More details to come.

I have just emailed those going walking directions from the White Flint metro. If you will be walking with me from there, please let me know. I leave no later than 3 PM (as I said, I'll wait from 2:45-3:00 PM), then I leave. Please read that email for details. Thanks!

    June 21, 2014

  • Noonie

Hi guys, I visited the place for you today (even in the rain. :))...I walked from the metro, to see the best way to go for walkers. It's only about an 8 min. walk! I can walk with people coming from the metro. I can wait at White Flint metro, inside, right after you exit with your farecard. I can walk with those who wish to walk with me. I want to leave there no later than 3 PM for the walking. I'll wait at the metro from 2:45-3:00, for those who wish to walk with me. If you decide to walk it alone, the easiest way is to cross the street at Marinelli. Take a left on Rockville Pike. Cross Nicholson St. Take the next possible right (after the parking lots). That's Excecutive, it won't say it. Brio is right there at the next intersection, on the left. Take a left to go to their revolving doors & walk in. :)

    June 21, 2014

  • Noonie

If you're walking there from the metro, you cross the street at Marinelli and keep going till you reach the building with the LA Fitness in it and take a right. Brio is close to there...but...I'll post more walking details tomorrow (and send out an email with everything about Sunday), as I've gone to bed early tonight from being wiped again..hahahah...I'm really glad we'll have this meetup Sunday!

    June 20, 2014

  • Noonie

There is parking on the street and the people at the restaurant believe that it's free on weekends...I may park at White Flint Mall across the street and walk off. :) It'd also be free the whole time we're there for me...

    June 20, 2014

  • Noonie

OMG, they are SO NICE at this restaurant! They talked to me about the possibility of having our own checks, and this private dining room is really nice, too! :))

    1 · June 20, 2014

  • Noonie

Hi guys, make sure when you park, not to pick the parking lot on Woodglen that is JUST for Whole Foods. On MARKETPLACE there are a couple entrances for a parking lot that will cover Brio, LA Fitness, and Whole Foods...THAT'S the parking lot you want...I've put down the RESTAURANT'S actual address from the website again (at "20 Paseo Drive), but they say that IF your GPS is OLD, then you put in the Woodglen address I had listed before...Parking is at the Marketplace garage (2-hour free parking, but you can park there all day if you take car out and put it back in), UNLESS you want to park on street OR have the 3 hour free valet parking. See you soon!

Greg U., I don't see you signed up at all. If you are going, you need to let us know by signing up. As for "welcoming," we are so good at that. No one is ever left behind and we always welcome everyone.

Hi guys, when I called in, I got someone who said to put another address than listed for GPS's..I've listed the address on our website: It's 11351 Woodglen Drive, North Bethesda, MD. When I park there, I park on Marketplace (It's right off of Rockville Pike, 355).

Hi guys! I visited the place again today and the private dining room we have is GREAT!!! I CHANGED the meetup time to 3:15 PM, since we should watch the GAME AFTERWARD!!! :) Afterall, it's USA Versus PORTUGAL!!! I saw that they have TV's by the very comfy bar area of THIS RESTAURANT, so we can go THERE (instead of walk to Dave N' Busters)..We'd just walk over to the bar area. :) IF you'd rather walk very close by to Paladar Latin Kitchen and Rum bar for the World Cup, we can do that afterward, too...It's a VERY POPULAR spot to watch the World Cup, anyway. :) See you soon! AT 3:15 PM!!!

    June 18, 2014

  • Noonie

Actually, Ace, it's one of the meetup groups that goes all over the place, and it's been very convenient for people for years. :)) We've been to VA, DC, MD, PA, etc. :)) We just happen to be in MD a lot lately, and that's fine. :)

HI guys, I thought about it and since Brio itself has TV screens, if you want to watch the World Cup afterward we might not need to go to Dave N' Busters. We might stay there. Although Dave N' Busters is right across the street (SO CLOSE), and we might want to go there...We'll see how things go, and see if people want to stay for the World Cup...I can also change the meetup time to 3 (since the World Cup event we were thinking of watching doesn't start till 6.)...I'll let you know if I decide to do this...

    June 18, 2014

  • Noonie

The World Cup event we'll likely view aftewards is the one at 6 PM. It's USA VS Portugal! :)

    June 17, 2014

  • Noonie

Hi guys, I just thought of something! If you park at White Flint Mall (walking distance from Brio, and where Dave n' Busters is), you can park for free the whole time and walk on over!!! :) Anyway, most of us are planning to watch the soccer game at Dave N' Busters after we eat at Brio, anyway...That way, we can walk over there after we eat, and your car will already be there for when we are done at Dave N' Busters...:) If you don't want to do that, you can always park at the garages right near Brio, and that's 2 hours for free (you can move your car out and back in after 2 hours, to make it continue being free, or have free valet parking for 3 hours)...

    June 16, 2014

  • Noonie

Thanks for letting us know, Wahida. We'll miss you. Looking forward to seeing you on the Fourth of July!

      June 16, 2014

  • Noonie

Michael R., I'm not sure why you wrote a comment here that you are late to an event that will take place on June 22. You also wrote that you are late since you didn't "see the time," but it clearly says in the body of the write up that it's for Sunday, June 22, at 2:00, and it also says that as part of the meetup posted. I know you emailed me beforehand if I will be there, but I'm organizer, so yes.....Please let's all read what is out there, so that we don't have comments after all the info. is given many times. Thanks so much and have a good weekend guys.

    June 7, 2014

    • Michael

Oh I am sorry. I thought it was for last weekend. I may try and attend this. Thanks for posting.

      June 15, 2014

  • Noonie

Hi guys! Let's see the World Cup AFTER eating there! Dave N' Busters is right by there! So we can see USA playing against Portugal there. :))

    June 15, 2014

  • Noonie

Some of the menu items are expensive (like the fish, and some meats, etc.)...However, I ordered just the flat bread with steak so it was less expensive...It's about 5 slices of bread, with steak on it, lettuce, and dressing...It was really good and I felt full...I think if you sign up with the email club, you get a free bruschetta with a purchase of an order...There website is the following: http://www.brioitalian.com/index.html

    June 12, 2014

    • Noonie

Oh! I see they have a new menu for weekends before 3, in this case, there should be many more options that are less expensive than what I saw...Hope so! I think so! Anyway, I got us out of being on a fixed menu, so you can order whatever you choose...

I went there yesterday. You can park for two hours for FREE in the garage there, that is also for Whole Foods. There is free valet parking for 3 hours. It's also walking distance from the White Flint metro. If you see that you will stay longer than 2 hours and are parked in the garage, you can always take your car out and put it back in, for another 2 hours..hahaha, people do that ALL THE TIME! It's very close to Dave N' Busters! So we can always go there afterwards, to hang, possibly play pool, and for desserts. :)

So far, 2 of my friends will be joining us. :) One of them was at the last meetup! They BOTH just told me that they've been to this restaurant and that it's VERY NICE!!! The room I saw there for us is really cool and fancy! Can't wait!!! My friend said they also have awesome happy hours where you can eat and drink very well for $5. And that the happy hours are weekdays from 5-6:30. She said that not only is the room that I saw there for us great, but also that they have an awesome bar area, with couches and a room in the back...I'll go back there and check it out...But for now, let's keep what we have as the room I saw for us is LOVELY. :)

Should we pay anything besides the food?

      1 · June 8, 2014

    • Noonie

Good question, Raquel! From what I was told, we don't have to pay anything other than the menu...(oh, you do have to bring the $5 membership to me, but nothing else)...If the restaurant says something else, I'll let you know...So far, just the menu! Your choice what you eat. :)
