Member's Family's HIGHLY RATED, Jyoti Indian Cuisine restaurant!!!

Hi guys!!

WOW, Tanya's aunt owns an INCREDIBLE Indian restaurant which has received RAVE REVIEWS!!!!

People say that if you want to go to an Indian restaurant, THIS is the place to go!!! They serve vegetarian food, chicken, lamb, and seafood...We'll be there on Dec. 8, at 6:30 PM. They are just a short walk from the Woodley Park Metro!!! They also have reasonably priced items!! Here's some of what it says in the Washington Post about it:

All the basics of quintessential Westernized Indian fare are available, and the chefs are happy to adjust the sauces to accommodate more reticent palates. On the other hand, diners who are more inured to the vigor of spicy-hot curry and are conversant in the world of Indian cuisine will be delighted to discover Jyoti has infused its menu with authentic yet innovative flair.

Here's the amazing website of this place: http://www.jyotiindiancuisine.com/

See you there!!

Happy Holidays, I have an old fashioned flip phone, so when and after I leave home for a meetup, I don't get the new comments posted here. I only am seeing them now as I didn't go to the bars and am home already. Glad that many were able to arrive, despite the traffic problems on the beltway that I see now that a couple of you mentioned. If you wish to let me know something after or right before a meetup starts, feel free to text as I won't see the comments from my phone. Have a good one! :)

I'm assuming people don't need a ride from Woodley Park, as no one called FQ. You still can. If you can get him on the phone and arrange it, he can pick you up (such as at 6:15). His number again is:[masked] 7309. I am still walking from the metro will Aki (and probably also Tanya and Diana) by 6:05 PM.

I hope my email about parking was clear. The Colonial parking doesn't have a clear street # outside, but if you are going south on 18th street, you pass the Jyoti restaurant on your left, and then not far from there is a falafel place on your left and it DOES have a # on its sign & the parking garage is by there. The address FOR THE FALAFEL place is:[masked]th St NW, Washington DC 20009. 2425 is on its sign. I also emailed the costs of this garage (18 bux for over an hour, 10 bux for up to an hour) & I said what it is directly by (the flower shop will be straight ahead of you after U pass the falafel place, &as you turn left into the alley of the garage.) THERE IS A CHEAPER garage that I JUST saw online and it's $14 for the whole time. I have never been there. HERE'S THE LINK: http://www.adamsmorganparking.com/
U may also park on the street if there is any availability. It's NOT free, I'd check 2 see meters. I've never parked at Adams Morgan & I'll walk with some ppl from the metro.

I wrote a comment and it dissappeared. :) I said that I visited the place tonight and will email all yes RSVP's walking directions from the metro, as well as parking costs at the garage...It also isn't free to park on the street on weekends there..I can meet people at the metro for walking. I asked them and they don't allow the member's puppy, even in its small carry on that he usually is in. See you guys soon.

No, MH already has a spot even if puppy goes. That's what my comment said. Keith canceled so he could go. It wasn't that...I never said that the puppy can't go. Just that I wanted to know if the "+1" was a puppy or a person. That's all I asked him to ask you when he saw you. If it's a puppy, it's fine. That means someone else can go.

    December 5, 2012

  • Noonie

MH, I was able to RSVP you, as Keith canceled...:) We might have another spot open for a member after you, because we think that one registered as going might actually be a puppy who wouldn't be sitting on a chair...

FQ, I added on your guest that you asked about because a member just canceled so there is definitely room for him/her and I know that you meant to add your guest on when you had signed up ...Now she/he can definitely go!

    December 4, 2012

  • Noonie

FQ: Yes, there is room for you as Daniela wrote a comment that she can't make it (I just saw it now as I wasn't online last night). I changed her RSVP and RSVP'd you. :) See you soon!

If you are not signed up but wish to go, you can go IF you see that a spot has opened up and IF you are able to RSVP BEFORE someone else does when you see a spot opening up. So, keep checking online and if you see a spot opening up for you, then sign up QUICKLY before someone else gets it. FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE. Thanks. :)

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
