Habitat for Humanity Workday

  • Dec 8, 2012 · 8:30 AM

We'll be on a Habitat for Humanity build in Augusta Crossings (Raleigh)! Our group was labeled by accident as EWB NCSU on the Wake Habitat website, so that is the group name to register under.

If you're interested, please do both of the following (shoot Katie Boniface ([masked]) an email if you have any questions):
1. Email Katie ([masked]) (She'll coordinate carpooling, food, whatever we deem necessary).
2. Follow the steps below to sign up through Habitat's website.

How to Sign up through Habitat:
1. Create an account on the Volunteer Hub
1. Use this link to access the Volunteer Hub and create an account: Volunteers will receive a confirmation email when they have successfully registered with a Volunteer Hub account.

2. Sign Up for your date

After they have completed the Volunteer Hub account set-up screen, they will be prompted to proceed to the Event Calendar, where they will see just your December 8 event at Augusta Crossings. They will need to click “Sign Up” next to this event postings to complete their registration for your reserved date. Volunteers will receive an Event Confirmation email that confirms the date and location when they have successfully signed up for your event date.
The Volunteer Hub registration page includes all the parking and logistics information, including a schedule for the day which can be viewed by clicking on the “Augusta Crossings”. Everyone who registers with your group will receive a confirmation email which includes links to our Volunteer FAQ and Construction Info pages. Please remind your team to dress in layers for the weather, including sturdy, close-toed shoes. The full “What to Wear” and “What to Bring” questions are covered in the Volunteer FAQ page.

Great project day. Really heartwarming to have the earnest assistance of the homeowners on the project. Great opportunity to bond with EWB chapter members and friends.

Hi all! Just wanted to send a quick reminder that you need to sign up through Habitat's website to attend Saturday (because of the waiver you'll fill out on their site). Directions are above, just let me know if you have questions. See you Saturday!
