Our recent weather has the tendency to drive even the most dedicated photographers indoors. This is a great time to begin expanding your use of flash!
I’m offering an a class on Flash Photography at our studio in Eagle River. The class is four 2½ evening sessions (January 22, January 29, February 5, and February 12). The cost is $200. A $100 deposit reserves your place in the class. I limit the enrollment to six students.
You’ll learn to understand and make the most of use your built-in pop up flash. We’ll also cover using a hot shoe flash both on and off the camera in wired and wireless configurations. Some of the topics we’ll cover are x-sync, 1st and 2nd curtain sync, fill flash, ETTL/TTL, flash compensation, dragging the shutter, guide numbers, and using light modifiers.
Students enrolling in this class must possess a firm understanding of basic photography to include operating their camera in full manual mode. Although not necessary, I strongly recommend having a tripod and a hot shoe flash for your camera.
Contact me by phone or email if you’re interested in enrolling.
