What to do with extra club money

Right now our club has about $234. After two years it is pretty clear that our only expenses are paying for this site on meetup.com and our participation fee for the Bear Paw Festival. To maintain this site on meetup.com costs us $144 per year. The Bear Paw Fee is $50. So our total expenses per year are $194. We collect $5 for every entry in the Bear Paw Festival Photo Contest. Last year we took in about $550. I'm guessing we will do something similar this year. Since we don't need the money, I think we should consider doing something constructive with it. I suggest that we give away everything over $200. I suggest we give half to the Alaska Fine Arts Academy (since they haven't charged us a cent since we began the club and they do all the work accepting the Bear Paw entries). I think we should use the other half to award cash prizes to the contest winners. I'm thinking we should vote on this at the June 3rd meeting. If you have any comments email the group.

Should we change our monthly meeting from the first to the third Thursday

One of our members is working a schedule on the slope that prevents her from attending our monthly meetings on the first Thursday. She will be in town on the third Thursday. Moving the meeting to the third Thursday will require us to adjust our meeting schedule. We decided to hold the judging for the Bear Paw Festival Photo Contest at our June meeting. If we move to the third Thursday we'll have to move the judging to the May meeting. The winning entries need several weeks to allow the photographer to pick up their photos and get them framed. We have already secured two of the three judges based on holding the judging on June 3 (the first Thursday). It is possible that they may not be available on May 20th. If approved, we'll make the change beginning with our January meeting.

Based on input from members and discussion at the August meeting we have narrowed the list to 12 topics. Please vote for ten of the following twelve choices. Rate your choices 1-10 with 10 being your most preferred choice. Make sure to vote "--" for two of the choices.
