1st meetup! Test Exshake on an iPhone & your first beer is on us! TLV Bograshov

This is the first app to be tested by the group (iPhone app for now, Android coming soon).

Come and help the founders test their app's capability and your first beer is on us!

So, first app to be tested is Exshake (www.exshake.com)!
Exshake is getting ready to launch! Before launch we'd like to test the "conference mode." Come help us to test the accuracy & efficiency of our alpha version and we will buy you a beer!

At the moment we are concentrating on the transfer of contacts. In fact, we are providing the fastest and the most secure way to exchange info and ensure that you follow up with your new contacts as opposed to throwing those business cards in the "to check later" pile.

Before launching in the big world, we'd like to simulate the business card transfer scenario in a "conference mode," meaning with many of people using the app to transfer info at the same time.

Please sign up if you'd like to attend.

If you cannot attend but would like to try the app, please sign up atwww.exshake.com
Also, please like our app on Facebook http://www.facebook.com/ExshakeApp

[iPhone users only are needed at this time. If you are NOT an iPhone user, you can still come to socialize but won't be a part of the test/beer group. Sorry, startup budgets...]

Thanks everyone for attending the meetup last night. We'll be in touch with everyone re updated version of our app after we make changes & add features according to all of your recommendations! Thanks again for taking the time to install our app and to test it with us.

In the coming week, we'll be scheduling the next meetup where we'll be testing an alpha or beta version of software developed by one of you! Please contact Yael to let us know which one will be next. We're looking forward to giving back to all of you and testing your apps.

For all who didn't get to come, at the meetup we installed the app to everyone's phone via Test Flight (as we're waiting to be approved by the App Store). Some installed at home and some at the meetup. We met at an awesome bar called Pepito on Bograshov 28 in Tel Aviv and everyone exshook their phones with each other to see whether the application works. In some cases it worked well, in some others, less, but we learned a lot!

    Thanks again!

I just installed the app. I have to say that your UI is not good enough. why did you do a web based UI for such a simple application ? when you tap "my card" on the top right in the first screen and the app slides into the second screen (the one with My Card and Settings) you stare at a white screen without even a spinner for a few seconds ! common, this is basic user experience. I don't mean to be hard on you, just give you some constructive advise.

      hi
      thanks for the input.
you are absultely right. the problem that you wait and wait, is known. probably we will move to native.. This is only the starting point to prove the basic technology.
it will be much better in the application layer.
      thanks a lot!

how do you compare to Bump?

bump is not secure enough - that's why you need to tap, and then confirm - which is a long process (actually 3 stages process - tap, confirm, transfer). we do it all in one stage : shake and you have the information, mainly because we have a very strong authentication process that doesn't need additional confirmation.
