Earth Celebrations-Hudson River Pageant is an opportunity for you, to become involved in the enhancement and improvement of the Hudson River while increasing your knowledge of our environment and the impacts upon it by our society.

We do this with exciting, interesting, and innovative projects and workshops culminating in the 'Hudson River Pageant' in the last week in May.

With over 100 participants, and more than 1,000 spectators, The 'Pageant' itself moves from Battery Park City to Gaansvort St in Manhattan culminating in a spectacular and colorful grand finale.

We started the Earth Celebrations-Hudson River Pageant group (a nonprift (501c3) to mobilize community participation to restore the Hudson River's native species and habitats, and to address climate change in New York City.

We engage community people, artists, organizations, schools, community centers, children and families through the creations of an ecological parade and theatrical pageant featuring 13 site-specific performances along the downtown Hudson River wtaerfront on Saturday May 21, 2011. From March - May, we engage community volunteers to create spectacular puppets and costumes inspired by the diverse species of the river.

We are gearing up for Earth Celebrations’ 3rd Annual Hudson River Pageant – 2011, an ecological art project and performance art event engaging youth & community to restore the Hudson River’s native species & habitats & address climate change In New York City. We hope that you will join in and participate in our puppet & costume workshops March - May, and culminating theatrical pageant along the downtown Hudson River Park on Saturday May 21, 2011.
