Workshop: Sustainability Park - Denver, CO / Tire Wall - Stage 2

Hosted by: Mike Wird w/ Denver Earthship! - Follow on Facebook!

Lets get together and help Mike Wird finish the tire wall construction at sustainability park!

Game Plan: Join us May 11th @ 10AM to learn the beginning basics of Earthship construction. Learn how to build tire walls and can walls from Earthship Academy graduate Mike Wird!

Cost / Donations: Costs are based on a sliding scale. Regenerative Lifestyles is requesting a $25 fee for registration; $20 if you bring cans and bottles to the event. If you're a veteran pounder, bring yourself and a sledgehammer to build some muscle!

Directions and Parking: Sustainability park is hard to miss. It is a 2+ acre property on Lawrence St. between 25th and 27th in Downtown Denver.

Dogs: If you decide to bring a furry counterpart please make sure the weather will suit their paws. We would recommend pets be left at home, but in the event this proposes a dog sitting issue, please be able to leash the pet safely and close by. Service animals are always accepted.

Attendance: It is not required that you stay for the entire event. Even one or two hours of your time is greatly appreciated!

Don't Forget: Gloves / Chapstick / Sun Screen / Water Bottle / Hat / Sunglasses or Safety Glasses / Sledgehammer / Cans / Wine Bottles / Tires

Weather: Check back for weather updates.

I want everyone to understand the issues with charges need to be brought up to Mike Wird. I understand many of you have told me you've tried to contact him regarding upcoming events and he seems difficult to get a hold of. I have no control over charges for events he hosts. I've been shadowing Denver Earthship workshops to bring available tire pounding to this group because Earthship construction remains in the infancy stages throughout Colorado.

It is my understanding the charges are a "sliding scale" - not sure <exactly> what that means, but from previous workshops I believe it stands for "if you can't afford to pay the full amount, please donate what you can, if you can't donate anything we will not turn anyone away".......

We're donating personal time and gas just to attend their events so if you cannot pay, please mention this to Mike Wird when you see him.

I flew out from CT, driving from Fort Collins, to volunteer on a Saturday because I care about the cause. I'm unemployed and there was no fee when I signed up, Not paying, sorry.

I can't stay long since I need to be in my studio for the RiNo Art Safari on the same day. But I really hope to stop by for a little bit!

This will be going for a large part of the day, but you can definitely come by whenever your time permits! Even if you drop by just to encourage tire pounders, we always appreciate the help!
