Creating an Earthship Intentional Community

Please join us to continue shaping our vision of an earthship intentional community. Everyone with an interest in creating a cohousing community here in Washington State is welcome. We are in the beginning stages of our formation. At our last meeting, common interests were ecological sustainability and interpersonal relationships. In this next meeting, we will continue to fine-point our vision for this community. We will divide into groups according to those who prefer a rural or an urban setting, and, with the help of discussion activities, we'll discover more of our common goals.

Suggested reading: Creating a Life Together - Practical Tools to Grow Ecovillages and Intentional Communities, by Diana Leafe Christian.

Some more specific directions: It's probably easiest to park behind the church on Howell St. Standing on Howell St, facing the church campus, you'll see a brown house on the corner. Take the stairs to the left of that house, follow the sidewalk to the right, and into a courtyard. On your left you'll see double doors marked "Parish Hall". Enter the doors and make your way to the Fireside Room, the second door on the left.

Thanks to all of you for participating in the last meeting! I hope to see you again this Friday, the 7th at 7:00 for the continuation of our earthship community adventures. Also, for those who would like to return the favor to Epiphany Church for offering us this cozy place to meet, please consider helping with clean up for their annual Have a Heart fundraiser, this Sunday from 7:30-9:30. It'll also be a great way to continue getting to know each other!

I can't make this meeting, and I am thrilled the conversation is continuing and will be on the lookout for more gatherings :) S
