Free screening of Garbage Warrior + Q&A at Antioch

Movie preceded by a quick overview of the July 2014 Earthship build in Alberta, Canada and volunteer opportunities with Earthship Seattle.

Q&A session after the movie.

Get inspired by Earthships and their creator, Michael Reynolds, on his quest to share with the world a concept that can revolutionize green building. Earthships reduce the stress on the planet by not burning any fossil fuels, and they reduce the stress on the owner by not generating any utility bills. Less stress, less pollution, more freedom!

What: Movie screening of Garbage Warrior, followed by Q&A by Earthship Seattle.

When: Thursday August 14th, 7:00 pm

Where: Antioch University,[masked]th Ave, Seattle, WA 98121
Room 100A (left of the foyer)

Earthship Seattle is a group of volunteers who see Earthships as one of the best solutions for a sustainable future. They aim to raise awareness about Earthships in the greater Seattle area, build an Earthship in Seattle for public use and for demonstration purposes, and facilitate the creation of free, happy and healthy off-the-grid eco-villages. Several members have attended the Earthship Academy, a 6-week training on building Earthships.

Also, if the person(s) working on permitting want to discuss what is being learned or want any assistance with a permit project plan, I would like to help.

Hi Miriam! Sorry for the delay, but yes it would be great to discuss permitting with you at some point. Right now we're super busy with a small Earthship project, but I hope to investigate permitting more come October. How's your Earthship group in NM going?

It was a nice screening! It's great to be apart of something great and growing, but overall very much needed in the sustainable community!

Hi, I will be trying to learn from your group from afar as I am in Las Cruces, New Mexico. If anyone is taking notes from this meet up on the Q&A or topics explored by your group tonight, I'd love to get a copy.

I'll be fashionably late to this. That day I'm working in W. Seattle, so I'll try to get there as soon as I can!
