Introduction

Hi - I'm Marcy... that most dangerous kind of amateur photographer - a grandmother with a DSLR! Work in high tech marketing and consider myself an intermediate level photographer. Looking forward to getting inspired by the group.

Tell us about yourself: your name, location, what you like to photograph etc.

Hi. I'm Marcy Zimmerman. Live in the East Bay and love to photograph landscapes, colors and textures, geometric shapes, family, portraits, kids. I use photography as a creative outlet and have taken lots of classes. At this point I'm looking for new perspectives and inspiration.

Are you a hobbyist, part-timer, or full-time photographer?

Purely a hobbyist (thought I did sell 3 photos at a charity event)

Are you interested in photography workshops?

Yes - want to improve my skills, get inspiration and definitely learn more about using Adobe CS4

What is your passionate area of photography? (Architectural, Landscape, Portrait, Macro, Fashion...)

I spend alot of time on sports photography (with a 12 year old grandson) and love to capture action shots of athletes close up, capturing the intensity of the moment. But I also love capturing nature in all its glory.
