This Maker Camp is for kids ages 7 - 12 and focuses on science, technology and art activities. It is sponsored by Make magazine and Google and is hosted by M.A.C.H. 925 and will be a four-part series.
We're going to accept up to 15 kids at the event. Please RSVP and specify how many kids you will be bringing to the Maker Camp.
August 10th, 1:30 - 3:00 pm -- Exploring with Rockets -- We will build paper and foam rockets, and learn about aerodynamics. We will test them outdoors.
August 17th, 1:30 - 3:00 pm -- Exploring Circuits -- We will learn about electricity, circuits and how to build a battery with everyday items. Students will build an LED shoe clip.
August 24th, 1:30 - 3:00 pm -- Design and Crafts -- We’ll start with an exercise in structural design and then use duct tape to build different items. .
August 31st, 1:30 - 3:00 pm -- Making Blinky Robots. Students will learn how to solder, and build their own blinky robot as a Maker Camp skill badge.
