What are you looking for from a Contra Costa County hacker or makerspace?

I'm trying to acquire the skills and understanding to do small projects with micro-controllers for things like home automation and custom lighting and gadgets

How did you hear about us?

I've been an avid reader on Anandtech and Reddit for a few years and my recent interest in electronics led me to r/electronics. Hackerspaces are highly regarded there so I sought one out near me (Concord area)

What are your experiences with hacking and making?

Limited experience... build my PCs from bare parts, installed my car stereo and fabbed the speakerboxes from fiberglass, and am generally a gadget geek.

I am an aspiring electronics geek. Aspiring to learn Arduino, basic electronics, soldering, coding... which language is TBD
