What are you looking for from a Contra Costa County hacker or makerspace?

I am looking to help wherever I can and make contributing to a makerspace a regular part of my free time. I also would like to learn skills from other contributors to the group and get my hands on some better equipment to build higher quality projects.

How did you hear about us?

Googled "makerspace Concord" and the group came up. I was very excited to see you are just getting started.

What are your experiences with hacking and making?

I have built various projects involving LEDs, motors and sensors. I was an avid brewer until my two children came along, but I hope to pick up brewing again soon. Most of my home projects have revolved around food preparation equipment (water circulation unit for Sous Vide method of cooking and a flower pot meat smoker). Recently, I have become really involved with Minecrafting in the MinecraftEDU environment and that has been the main focus of my skill development. I have had a bit of experience in Scratch and Python as well.

I am the Director of Technology at Marin Country Day School where I manage systems and help with elective programs in Minecraft, Arduino, Raspberry Pi and anything else that I can build or hack my way through.
