A Camp Grounded and [freespace] Off-The-Grid Celebration of Community.

It’s like summer camp for adults, in the city, for one epic night of pure unadulterated fun. Everyone is invited. And it’s FREE!

HEY HEY HEY!

Are you ready to put your phone away, step aside from the glowing screens, and spend a few fun hours off-the-grid tomorrow night? This is going to be an awesome evening of analog goodness and unadulterated absurdity. Who's Excited?!

We wanted to send over a quick update and some IMPORTANT DETAILS you need before heading out for our unplugged festivities. This will make your experience the bestest it can be:

1) NO RSVP or TICKET NEEDED
Just come. Bring your friends. Don’t be late... camp slideshow, sing-a-long and Camp 2014 announcements will be made early in the evening.

2) SPACE IS EXTREMELY LIMITED / ARRIVE EARLY / FIRST COME BASIS
We’ve received over 1500 RSVP’s and let’s be honest, we can’t fit everyone inside. [freespace] is only so big and we can't stretch the walls. Since this is an open and free event - and RSVP's are not required - we'll probably fill up quicker than quick. Please please please arrive on the early side to ensure you make it in for the fun. Having a ticket does not guarantee your entrance. And be ready to check your phone at the door, or to keep the process simple, ditch the tech before you leave your  house.

3) DON’T LEAVE HOME WITHOUT...

  • Bring a Reusable Cup: If you plan on drinking something, come prepared.
  • Your Nickname: Come with a nickname, or one of our trusty nicknamers will hook you up with a sweet one at the door.
  • Headlamp or Flashlight: You can’t see through the woods with some light
  • Food or Drink to Share: Bring something to share with your new friends.
  • Favorite Pen
  • Musical Instrument: Guitar, shaker, harmonica, banjo... for camp singalongs

4) WHAT TO WEAR?
Whatever makes you unique. Leave your grown-up costumes at home and step out of that adult box of 9-5. There is no right or wrong way to dress, as long as you feel awesome and free. Express your inner child, throwback some pre-teen style to when you were awkward and prepubescent, and show some camp spirit (animal villages and flare to boot). Pigtails, high socks, facepaint, silliness and moustaches encouraged. And yes... the chicken is invited too.

5) PARKING & TRAFFIC!!!!
[freespace] is walking distance from Bart. Please carpool or take public transit because parking will be limited... arrive early :) Traffic will be bad. Just saying. The Giants and A’s are playing at home... while Justin Timberlake, Jay-Z, and John Mayer are all playing at different venues. According to the news, traffic will be terrible.

6) SET EXPECTATIONS
Since you'll be without your phone and email during the party, you won't be able to receive messages, updates or phone calls from the world outside our walls. Please make sure to tell your friends, family and boss that  you'll be unavailable during these hours... enjoying what life was like when we were not "always on-call." Update your status, send out a tweet, even change your voicemail... trust us, if you know others won't be worried or trying to get ahold of you - you'll have an even better time.

SEE YOU FRIDAY! We're excited!
Looking forward to (dis)connecting with you.

Ok, so I couldn't find a logo pin. Trust me, you can't miss me. I have on overalls (a green amsterdam hoodie if it's chilly), an old red beret with pin on the front and big round black glasses. If you spot me, grab my arm and say Hi. Remember, nicknames...tonight I'm Anne-Marie.

So, I just got an interesting email regarding this event. I'm going to post it in the info section under the event name. It said, tickets are not neede and first come, first served. WFF? Why did we register. Anyway, I still plan to go. There is some interesting info such as be prepared to turn over your electronics and have a camp name ready (no real names!). For this event, you can call me Anne-Marie. I've never been to one of these events so i have zero idea what to expect. I'll wear one of my cat EBB logo pins

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
