This is our 2nd week! We will be doing the Lafayette Reservoir paved trail again. It is a nice paved 2.7 mile walk. We might split into 2 groups. The faster/stronger group can do 2 laps or the upper rim? Will have to find a leader for stronger group because I will be with the more leisurely group.
We will meet in the main parking lot at 10:30 and head out on our walk around 10:40. The walk takes 45 mins to an hour. Parking is $7.00 for all day and there are some metered hourly spaces as well for 75 cents per 1/2 hour. (It may take quarters only, so come prepared!) Look for my car at the main entrance. Either a dark blue boxy Scion xB or a white Toyota truck. I will have balloons taped to it.
3rd week will be at Mt. Wanda in Martinez. This hike is on a nice dirt fire trail. Only 3 miles with great views and if we time it right, there will be lots of wild flowers on the hillside!
4th week. Still trying to pick a good hike that has views that is around 5 miles. Will post it soon!! E-mail me with ideas. No promises if I will use your hike.
